Pakistan’s Port System Enters New Era of Modern Reforms

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Port system has entered a new era of modern reforms and digitalization under the Prime Minister’s Maritime Reforms Task Force. For the first time in Pakistan’s history, a comprehensive strategy has been developed for port development.

According to Radio Pakistan, under this strategy, a uniform port tariff system has been introduced, promoting greater competition and transparency in port operations. The implementation of Pakistan Single Window and Faceless Customs Assessment has reduced cargo clearance time from fifty-three hours to eighteen hours.
