Pakistan’s President Summons National Assembly Session in Islamabad

Islamabad: The President of Pakistan has officially summoned a session of the National Assembly to convene at Parliament House in Islamabad on Monday, the 26th of August, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. This move is part of the routine exercise of the powers vested by the constitution to discuss various national issues and legislative agendas.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the session has been called under clause (1) of Article 54 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The Secretary General, Tahir Hussain, signed the notification, which mandates the publication of this session’s details in the Gazette of Pakistan as an extraordinary part-II entry today. This procedural adherence is critical for ensuring transparency and official documentation of parliamentary activities.
