PakWheels collaborates with General Tyre to educate auto buyers

Karachi, April 28, 2015 (PPI-OT): PakWheels.com, Pakistan’s number one automotive website has collaborated with The General Tyre and Rubber Company of Pakistan Limited (GTR), Pakistan’s largest tyre manufacturing company, to educate auto buyers on their tyre needs. The ‘Tyre Guide’ section on PakWheels.com will cover articles and information about tyres and wheels including FAQs, myth busting, right tyre size, tips and advice besides other information.

Tyres need to be maintained and looked after regularly to ensure they don’t burst or go out of shape. Thousands of car accidents occur due to faulty tyres which the car owners and drivers are unaware of.
“The total consumption of tyres by auto sector in Pakistan is approximately one million units. Replacing your car’s tyres is usually an unwanted expense and often an intimidating buying experience.

The majority of consumers have little or no knowledge about tyres and they are overly reliant on the seller for a good purchase. The recent collaboration with PakWheels will educate the masses and clear any misconceptions they might have about tyres”, said Mohammed Shahid Hussain, CEO, General Tyres.

“PakWheels has always been consumer-centric and strives to bring value added services to its users. The collaboration with General Tyre will go a long way in enriching the information available on the website, which will create a more informed society’, said Muhammad Raza Saeed, CEO, PakWheels.com.
