PDMA Issues Rain Alert Across Punjab from Tonight

Lahore: Provincial Disaster Management Authority Punjab has issued a rain alert across the province, predicting rains from tonight till Tuesday in most districts.

According to Radio Pakistan, westerly winds have entered upper Punjab, bringing the possibility of heavy rains and thunderstorms in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur, and other districts.

PDMA said water flow in rivers and canals may increase due to rains in hilly areas. Alerts have been issued to all commissioners, deputy commissioners, and relevant departments.

Citizens have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel, follow safety instructions, and contact the PDMA helpline 1129 in case of emergency.
