PDMA KP Issues Glacial Lake Outburst Flood Alert

Islamabad: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued a glacial lake outburst flood alert in five mountainous districts of the province due to rising temperatures.

According to Radio Pakistan, these districts include Upper and Lower Chitral, Upper Dir, Swat, and Kohistan.

It also directed administrations of these districts to take immediate precautionary measures to mitigate any human and property losses. Tourists have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel to the affected regions during the forecast period.
