Peace, conducive atmosphere inevitable for holding free and fair elections in country: Talal

Islamabad, May 16, 2023 (PPI-OT): PML-N leader Talal Chaudhry says peace and conducive atmosphere is inevitable for holding free and fair elections in the country. Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said holding free, fair and impartial elections in the prevailing situation is not possible when the PTI and Imran Khan is being encouraged and given relief.

The PML-N leader said the rioters belonging to PTI and Imran Khan are behind the recent incidents of arson and ransacking of public and private properties. Talal Chaudhry said if GHQ is not safe from the armed gangs of PTI, how the office of Election Commission and ballot boxes could be prevented from their hooliganism. He demanded exemplary punishment for the rioters of PTI in accordance with the law.
