According to Radio Pakistan, the President highlighted that Pakistan had consistently worked, in good faith, for de-escalation. He remarked that this effort was made for the region and in the greater good of humanity, at a time when the world was perilously close to a grave disaster. Asif Ali Zardari emphasized that peace remains essential for security, economic stability, and the well-being of people across interconnected regions.

The President expressed pride in Pakistan’s leadership, noting the country’s wisdom, resolve, and steadfast commitment to peace. He also appreciated the leadership of Iran and the United States for opting for dialogue over devastation. Furthermore, he commended the tireless efforts of leaders in Washington, Tehran, Islamabad, and Gulf countries, particularly Saudi Arabia, in fostering an environment conducive to de-escalation and diplomacy.

President Zardari acknowledged the relentless efforts of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
