PEMRA Bill passed unanimously after deliberations with all stakeholders: Marriyum

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb says the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority Amendment Bill 2023 was passed by the National Assembly with unanimous vote after detailed deliberations with all stakeholders.

She was briefing the Senate Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting, which reviewed the PEMRA Amendment Bill, at a meeting in Islamabad.

The Information Minister said the bill remained in public domain for twenty days and under discussion in Parliament.

She said if anybody has any objection on the bill, he may highlight that loophole and suggest the amendment.

It was decided in the meeting that the committee members would submit their amendments tomorrow.
