Jammu, June 07, 2023 (PPI-OT): People staged protest demonstrations in Jammu city against the anti-people policies of the authorities. Residents as well as traders of Talab Tillo area of the city staged a protest over poor quality works being done in their area under Jammu Smart City Project. Holding banners and placards in their hands, a large number of traders and inhabitants of Talab Tillo came on road and raised slogans against the authorities.
The protesters said the way, the developmental works are being done are causing problems to the local inhabitants, traders as well as commuters. They demanded of the concerned authorities to ensure that the people do not suffer due to the developmental works in the area.
Meanwhile, people took out a protest rally in Jammu city against the rising unemployment and levying of Property Tax in IIOJK. They demanded the regularization of Rehber-e-Khel teachers, Public Health Engineering (PHE), Power Development Department (PDD) and Public Works Department (PWD) daily wagers and others. They maintained that educated youth of both the regions of Jammu and the Kashmir Valley are equally suffering due to unemployment problem.
