People of Lyari are peace loving: Sharmila Faruqui

Karachi, June 14, 2012 (PPI-OT): Coordinator to Chief Minister Sindh on Information Sharmila Faruqui has said that the people of Lyari are peace loving and they love Pakistan very much. People of Lyari bitterly hate terrorism and young people of Lyari are second to none in talents. This she said while addressing as chief guest in Fiesta 2012 held at Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University on Thursday.

She said, ‘Lyari has talent and they will bring good name for the country. In Lyari, there is Medical College, Medical University and Benazir Bhutto University’. She added that Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University could compete all the universities of the world and the students of this university are very talented. Sharmila Faruqui said that President Asif Ali Zardari love the people of Lyari very much and 800 million rupees have been allocated for the development of Lyari.

Sharmila Faruqui said, ‘In previous dictatorship periods, the rights were not given to the people of Lyari, however present democratic government is paying full attention towards development of Lyari. She appreciated the services of the Vice Chancellor of the University in organizing such a beautiful show.

She announced Rs.50 thousands for those students who participated in different tableaus. She also announced to pay full fee of a deserving student of the university. On this occasion she also distributed certificates among the achievers.
