Peshawar Holds Funeral for Army Personnel Killed in North Waziristan Conflict

Funeral prayers for six Pakistan Army personnel, who were killed during a firefight with insurgents in North Waziristan, were conducted today at the Peshawar Garrison. According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the ceremony was attended by Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, other senior military and civilian officials, and the families of the deceased. Following the prayers, the remains of the soldiers were transported to their hometowns for burial with full military honors. The fallen soldiers, including Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Ali Shaukat, Lance Naik Muhammad Ullah, Lance Naik Akhtar Zaman, Lance Naik Shahid Ullah, Lance Naik Yusuf Ali, and Sepoy Jameel Ahmad, are commemorated for their ultimate sacrifice. This event underscores the nation’s continued commitment to combating terrorism.
