Third Body Recovered in Three Days in Jammu and Kashmir

The body of a 21-year-old youth was recovered from the Chenab River near Talwara in the Riasi district, marking the third such discovery in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir in the past three days. The deceased, identified as Sandeep Singh from Thalkote village in Chassana, had been missing since September 27. According to Kashmir Media Service, Singh’s family had filed a missing person report at the Pacca Danga Police Station in Jammu. A police spokesperson confirmed the recovery of the body, which has been sent for a postmortem examination. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of death. Local residents have expressed concern over the recent string of incidents, with some alleging that the youths may have been victims of extrajudicial killings.
