Petroleum Minister Assures Full Support for Chinese Partnerships at Silk Route Expo

Xi An: During the 8th Silk Route Expo, Minister for Petroleum Musadik Malik committed to providing comprehensive support to Chinese companies collaborating with Pakistani counterparts in oil and gas exploration, refinery upgrades, coal conversion, and regasification projects. This assurance was given at a series of round-table meetings held at the Pakistan Pavilion.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Malik emphasized Pakistan’s rich coal reserves and the nation’s commitment to harnessing these resources responsibly while ensuring environmental protection. He highlighted the envisioned partnership with China, focusing on technological cooperation and joint ventures that would benefit both countries.

The Expo has seen significant participation from leading Pakistani petroleum sector companies, aiming to secure investments and deepen ties with Chinese enterprises. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance bilateral cooperation in energy and technology sectors between Pakistan and China.
