PIMS Tragedy: Compensation Cheques Handed Over to Infants’ Parents

Islamabad: Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has handed over compensation cheques of five million rupees each to the parents of children who lost their lives in the PIMS tragedy.

According to Radio Pakistan, in a statement on X, the Minister emphasized that the compensation could in no way be considered a price for the irreparable loss suffered by the parents. He noted that the financial assistance was a humble effort by the government to express solidarity with the grieving families.
