Planning Minister Calls for Reducing Dependence on Imported Fuel

Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said Pakistan’s international standing will further enhance in view of its role in the Iran-US ceasefire. Addressing an event in Islamabad today, he highlighted the upcoming talks between the parties, set to take place in Islamabad from Friday. This development underscores Pakistan’s capital as an emerging hub for international peace negotiations.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ahsan Iqbal also emphasized the urgent need to reduce reliance on imported fuel by investing in and exploring indigenous resources such as hydel and solar energy. He stressed the importance of accelerating oil and gas exploration to bolster the country’s energy independence and sustainability.
