PM Announces Rs4bn Relief Package for Flood-Hit Gilgit Baltistan

Gilgit: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced four billion rupees for relief and rehabilitation in flood-hit areas of Gilgit Baltistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, he made this announcement while addressing a ceremony in Gilgit, where he distributed cheques to families of those who lost their lives during the recent floods and rains in the region. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of accelerating the repair of damaged roads and infrastructure, along with other development projects in the area.

He assured that the federal government would continue collaborating with the Gilgit Baltistan government in these efforts. Additionally, the Prime Minister highlighted the need for proactive measures to tackle and avoid disasters induced by climate change.
