PM Directs Swift Completion of Daanish Schools Across Provinces

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the authorities concerned to expedite the completion of Daanish Schools in all four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He was chairing a meeting in Islamabad today regarding the establishment of Daanish Schools and Daanish University in the country.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of constructing Daanish Schools nationwide and establishing Daanish University in Islamabad as critical investments for the nation’s future. He also instructed the establishment of a Tech Campus of Daanish University in Muzaffarabad.

Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the need for the architectural design of Daanish Schools to reflect the culture and traditions of their respective regions. He stressed the importance of merit and transparency, directing that the recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff for Daanish Schools and Daanish University be carried out strictly on merit.

He commended the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training for their progress on the construction of Daanish Schools. During the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed on the progress of 27 Daanish Schools being established in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Islamabad, along with the construction of Daanish University in Islamabad.

The completion of the Daanish School in Kuri, Islamabad, was confirmed, with academic activities having commenced. Progress was also reported on the Daanish Schools in Bagh, Bhimber, Sultanabad, Ghanche, and Astore, which are nearing completion, with classes expected to begin in April next year.

The recruitment process for faculty members at Daanish University has begun, with academic activities set to commence in 2027. Admissions will be offered strictly on merit to students nationwide, particularly those from underdeveloped areas.
