Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed gratitude for the acquittal of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in the accountability reference.
In a statement today, he said the decision of accountability court testifies that Nawaz Sharif was deliberately involved in a false case to harm him politically.
He said court admitted Nawaz Sharif went abroad with the permission of the Lahore High Court and the government.
The Prime Minister said court also admitted Nawaz Sharif would have been part of the investigation had he been in the country.
Shehbaz Sharif further said this is proof that vindictive government of that time deliberately declared Nawaz Sharif as an offender.
The Premier said it has been proved Nawaz Sharif was targeted for political revenge through the nexus of NAB Niazi to cause political damage and expressed hoped full justice will be given to Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for the oppression and abuse done to him for political purposes.
