PM Expresses Solidarity with Malaysia over Cyclone-Induced Floods

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with his Malaysian counterpart Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim today and expressed solidarity over the recent cyclone-induced floods.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the telephonic conversation, the Prime Minister, on behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan as well as on his personal behalf, expressed condolences to the Malaysian Prime Minister over the loss of lives and damages to property due to heavy rainfall, floods, and landslides following the recent cyclone.

While offering prayers for those who had lost their lives and wishing an early recovery for the displaced and injured, the Prime Minister conveyed solidarity with the Malaysian people during this time of grief.

He also offered Pakistan’s support for relief and rescue operations, as well as any assistance that Malaysia might require in dealing with this natural disaster.

In his remarks, the Prime Minister of Malaysia thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his thoughtful call, highlighting the close brotherly ties between Pakistan and Malaysia.
