PM Expresses Sorrow Over Boat Incident in Bahawalnagar District

Bahawalnagar: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident in which a boat carrying flood victims capsized near Chak Laleka in Bahawalnagar district.

According to Radio Pakistan, in a statement issued on Thursday, he directed authorities to expedite efforts to locate the two individuals still missing. The Prime Minister also instructed that the injured be provided with the best medical care. He emphasized the importance of rescue officials ensuring all necessary precautionary measures during the ongoing operation.

Furthermore, Shehbaz Sharif asked the National Disaster Management Authority to remain on high alert and maintain close coordination with provincial governments.
