Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has felicitated the Independent Group on winning the Supreme Court Bar Association election. In a statement today, he extended special congratulations to the head of the Independent Group, Ahsan Bhoon.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister also congratulated the newly elected President Haroon-ur-Rashid, Secretary Zahid Aslam Awan, and other office bearers, expressing best wishes for their future endeavors. He said the government has always considered the legal fraternity as a key partner in the reform process, and Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar maintains regular contact with lawyers in this regard.
Shehbaz Sharif expressed confidence that the newly elected President Haroon-ur-Rashid and his team will continue their mission to uphold the supremacy of the Constitution and law, and to work for the welfare of lawyers across the country.
