PM Forms Committee on Telecommunication Reorganization Bill

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has constituted a committee to review the Telecommunication Reorganization (Amendment) Bill. The committee is tasked with examining various aspects of the bill to ensure its comprehensive restructuring and effectiveness.

According to Radio Pakistan, the committee will be led by Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazir Tarar. The members of the committee include Senator Sherry Rehman, Minister for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Cheema, Attorney General Mansoor Awan, along with experts in the field of law and IT.

The primary focus of the committee will be to review the right-of-way for the establishment of telecommunication facilities. They will also deliberate on operations related to private property and housing societies, ensuring that these areas are adequately addressed in the bill. The committee is expected to submit its recommendations after a thorough evaluation.
