PM Hails $2 Billion Investment Deal with Azerbaijan

Baku: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has termed Pakistan’s two-billion-dollar investment agreement with Azerbaijan a first stepping stone and vowed to multiply it manifold. He was talking to newsmen in Azerbaijan while leaving for home after attending the 17th Economic Cooperation Organization summit.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister thanked President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for this generous contribution to invest in Pakistan. He emphasized the importance of this investment as a foundational step towards a stronger economic partnership between the two nations.

He further stated that all ECO member states agreed to strengthen their bond of fraternity through cooperation across multiple fields including trade, investment, culture, education, health, and water resources. This collective commitment is expected to foster regional stability and development, benefiting all participating countries.
