PM Lauds Scientists and Engineers on Successful Launch of Hyperspectral Satellite

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has lauded Pakistani space scientists and engineers for the successful launch of the country’s first Hyperspectral Satellite, HS-1, from the Chinese Satellite Launch Centre.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister issued a statement highlighting that Pakistan and China’s cooperation in space research is exemplary and of key importance. He expressed deep gratitude to China, describing it as a great and longstanding friend, and a vital strategic partner in this remarkable collaboration.

Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the unity between Pakistan and China, stating that the hearts of Pakistanis beat in harmony with the Chinese leadership and people. He expressed confidence that the satellite would support Pakistan’s research efforts in climate change and geographical occurrences, marking a major milestone in the country’s fight against the adverse impacts of climate change.

The Prime Minister also noted that the satellite is expected to significantly strengthen national capabilities in agriculture, environmental monitoring, urban planning, and disaster management.
