PM Leaves for Qatar to Attend Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit Amidst Rising Tensions

Doha: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has embarked on a day-long official visit to Qatar to participate in the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit being convened in Doha. The Summit has been organized in response to Israel’s recent airstrikes on Doha and the deteriorating human rights situation in Palestine.

According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif is accompanied by Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi. Additionally, Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar is already present in Doha.

The Summit is expected to witness participation from Heads of States and Governments, as well as senior officials from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member Countries. The gathering aims to address the escalating crisis and explore potential collaborative measures to support Palestine.
