PM Shehbaz Orders Comprehensive Reforms in Federal Board of Revenue

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has mandated the swift completion of reforms within the Federal Board of Revenue, focusing on taxpayer relations, technological upgrades, and structural adjustments. His directives were issued during a meeting in Islamabad, aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Pakistan’s revenue collection system.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister chaired a detailed session on the progress of the ongoing reforms in the FBR, where he underlined the importance of a taxpayer-friendly environment. He emphasized the integration of modern technology to elevate the taxation system and mandated the development of a reformation strategy for Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited.

Furthermore, Shehbaz Sharif stressed on advancing the professional skills of FBR officers and ensuring their optimal deployment to better serve the system. He also highlighted the need for a fortified mechanism to curb smuggling activities across the nation.
