PM Shehbaz Sharif Arrives in Istanbul for High-Level Discussions with President Erdogan

Istanbul: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is in Istanbul on an official visit to Trkiye. Upon his arrival at Atatrk Airport in Istanbul, he was received by Turkish Minister for Trade Dr. Omer Bolat and other officials from the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Pakistani Embassy. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar are also accompanying him.

According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is visiting Istanbul at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. During the visit, the two leaders will hold detailed discussions covering all aspects of Pakistan-Trkiye bilateral relations. The meeting will place particular emphasis on further strengthening cooperation in the fields of trade and investment. The two leaders will also exchange views on issues related to regional peace and security.

During his visit, Shehbaz Sharif will also address a business conference hosted by Pakistan. The conference will highlight Pakistan’s trade and investment opportunities in Special Economic Zones, energy, information technology, privatization, and other sectors. The event will be attended by leading Turkish business leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs.
