Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for achieving peace and stability in the region and beyond. He conveyed this message during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting, which lasted around two hours, was attended by several high-profile officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, along with other senior officials. The discussions centered on regional peace initiatives and the significance of diplomatic engagement.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took to social media platform X to express his pleasure at meeting Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and his delegation. In his post, the Prime Minister highlighted that the talks also covered matters of mutual interest, notably the further strengthening of Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations.
