Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed gratitude to Switzerland for its support and constructive engagement following the signing of the historic “Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding”.
According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif made this announcement on social media platform X, where he shared his pleasure in meeting the Vice President and Foreign Minister of Switzerland, Ignazio Cassis. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the ongoing technical talks in Brgenstock, related to the “Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding”.
Prime Minister Sharif emphasized that the successful implementation of the “Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding” is expected to contribute significantly to regional peace, stability, and global economic prosperity. He further highlighted the mutual agreement to strengthen bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
In addition, the Prime Minister extended an invitation to Vice President Ignazio Cassis to visit Pakistan, aiming to further bolster the longstanding friendship between the two nations.
