Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will re-launch the laptop scheme for the youth next month. This was stated by Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Program Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, while speaking at the Meet the Press Programme in Islamabad today.
According to Radio Pakistan, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan further added that under this federal level scheme, one hundred thousand laptops will be distributed among talented boys and girls across the country. He mentioned that another one hundred and fifty thousand laptops will be provided to the youth under the Laptops for All Scheme. This initiative offers an interest-free loan to procure a laptop, with the applicant required to repay the amount over four years.
Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan also announced plans to launch the first-ever National Youth and Adolescent Policy in the next one to two months. He elaborated that a comprehensive document is being prepared, incorporating responses from over two hundred thousand youth, detailing the needs, issues, and aptitudes of adolescents. The document includes responses from youth in the age ranges of 10-15, 15-19, and 19-29, which will aid in formulating policies for the young generation.
