Police Arrest Husband Who Cut Off Wife’s Nose and Ears in Kasur

Lahore, Police in Kasur have arrested a man and his accomplice for their involvement in a brutal attack on the man’s wife, in which he cut off her nose and ears. The arrest followed swift police action under the direction of Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, who commended the DPO Kasur, Tariq Aziz, and the police team for their prompt response.

According to Punjab Police, the arrest occurred after the police were informed of the incident in the Phoolnagar area of Kasur. The police immediately registered a case, and the victim was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. DPO Kasur said the main accused, the husband named Latif, along with another accomplice, was arrested. Raids are ongoing to apprehend a third female suspect believed to be involved in the crime.

The police action follows the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who has prioritized measures to prevent gender-based crimes under the Never Again campaign. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar indicated that legal proceedings would be completed soon, and those responsible for the attack would be punished.

To support the victim and her family, DSP Patoki visited her home, inquired about her health, and assured her that justice would be provided on a priority basis. The police’s quick response and commitment to pursuing justice have been acknowledged as crucial steps toward combating gender-based violence in the region.
