Islamabad: In Azad Kashmir, a police constable embraced martyrdom, while another official of the Federal Constabulary sustained injuries after armed militants of the banned Awami Action Committee opened fire in Poonch. The security forces came under fire during a clearance operation in the Bethak area of Poonch Division.
According to Radio Pakistan, the martyred personnel was Mirpur Traffic Police Constable Aqib, while the injured is Federal Constabulary Constable Shahzad, who is being provided immediate medical assistance. The incident has exposed the real and violent face of the banned Joint Awami Action Committee.
