President And Prime Minister Reaffirm Commitment To Support Teachers’ Community

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to support the teachers’ community. In their separate messages on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day today, they paid rich tribute to the teachers for their valuable services in nation building.

According to Radio Pakistan, in his message, the President termed teachers as the custodians of knowledge and values, guiding young minds toward truth, justice, and excellence. The Prime Minister emphasized the responsibility of both the federal and provincial governments to improve the professional skills of teachers and ensure their economic well-being.

Meanwhile, this year, World Teachers’ Day celebrations will centre on the theme ‘Recasting teaching as a collaborative profession’, highlighting the transformative potential of collaboration for teachers, schools, and education systems.
