Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the conferment of military awards upon 1,989 personnel of Pakistan’s Armed Forces and Civil Armed Forces on the occasion of Pakistan Day. The awards were approved on the recommendation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
According to Radio Pakistan, the approved awards consist of twenty-three Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military), one hundred Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), and one hundred thirty-six Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military). Additionally, eleven Sitara-i-Basalat, four hundred seventy-five Tamgha-i-Basalat, and one hundred thirty Imtiazi Sanad have been sanctioned.
Furthermore, one hundred seventy-five Tamgha-i-Khidmat (Military) Class-I, three hundred nineteen Tamgha-i-Khidmat (Military) Class-II, and six hundred twenty Tamgha-i-Khidmat (Military) Class-III are also among the approved recognitions.
