President Approves The Special Economic Zones (Amendment) Bill, 2026

Kathmandu: President Asif Ali Zardari has approved The Special Economic Zones (Amendment) Bill, 2026 on the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to Radio Pakistan, the bill was presented to the President following a comprehensive review process and discussions in the legislative bodies. The amendment aims to enhance the regulatory framework governing special economic zones across the country.

The approval of the bill is seen as a step towards improving the economic landscape by fostering investment and development in designated areas. The changes are expected to encourage both domestic and foreign investors by providing them with an improved operational environment.
