President Asif Ali Zardari Congratulates Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Bangladesh Presidency

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has congratulated Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on his election as the President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. In a press release issued by the Media Wing of the President’s Secretariat today, he expressed confidence that, under his leadership, Bangladesh will continue to make progress and advance the well-being of its people.

According to Radio Pakistan, the President highlighted the strong bonds between Pakistan and Bangladesh, which are rooted in their shared history, faith, and cultural ties. He welcomed the positive momentum in bilateral relations and expressed hope that cooperation between the two countries would continue to grow in areas of mutual interest.

President Zardari emphasized his eagerness to work with President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir to further strengthen Pakistan-Bangladesh relations and promote greater exchanges and cooperation between the two nations. He extended an invitation to the Bangladeshi President to visit Pakistan at a mutually convenient time, expressing confidence that such a visit would provide an opportunity to further strengthen bilateral ties and deepen cooperation.

The President conveyed his best wishes to President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir for the successful discharge of his responsibilities and for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of the people of Bangladesh.
