President Calls for Strengthening Pakistan-Australia Educational Linkages

Islamabad: Pakistan’s High Commissioner-designate to Australia, Irfan Shaukat, met with President Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad today. The President extended his congratulations to Shaukat on his new role and emphasized the importance of enhancing trade, investment, and economic collaboration with Australia. He urged the High Commissioner to focus on building business-to-business connections and boosting Pakistani exports.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari highlighted the need to promote Pakistan’s investment opportunities and explore partnerships in sectors such as information technology, agriculture, minerals, and energy. He also stressed the significance of supporting the Pakistani community and students residing in Australia by improving consular services and outreach efforts. Additionally, the President called for the strengthening of people-to-people and educational ties between the two nations.
