Lahore: As a display of brotherhood for seven flood-hit districts of Punjab, five trucks of relief goods from King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, Saudi Arabia have arrived in Lahore. In the presence of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, handed over the trucks to PDMA Punjab, which were dispatched for distribution.
According to Radio Pakistan, the relief goods are intended for the flood affectees in the districts of Kasur, Jhang, Khanewal, Hafizabad, Chiniot, Multan, and Toba Tek Singh. The initiative aims to provide much-needed support to these areas that are struggling with the aftermath of severe flooding.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emphasized that the relief goods symbolize the ongoing sentiments of brotherhood from Saudi Arabia towards Pakistan. The gesture reflects the continuous support and cooperation between the two nations in times of need.
