President Highlights Importance of Art and Culture in Strengthening National Identity

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has emphasized that art and culture are essential components of a nation’s soul, and their promotion plays a crucial role in strengthening national identity while also preserving cultural heritage. He conveyed these thoughts during a meeting with artist Waqas Ahmed Shaiq in Islamabad today.

According to Radio Pakistan, the President lauded the creative talents of the artist, acknowledging his significant contributions to the realm of art. President Zardari highlighted that creative individuals and artists are valuable national assets, and it is the state’s responsibility to encourage and support them.

During the meeting, artist Waqas Ahmad Shaiq presented portraits of Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Asif Ali Zardari to the President, further showcasing his artistic talents and dedication to cultural representation.
