President, PM Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthen Efforts Against Cancer

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to stand in solidarity with cancer patients and to further strengthen collective efforts to reduce the burden of the disease. In their separate messages on World Cancer Day being observed today, they urged the nation to adopt a whole-of-society approach to tackle cancer.

According to Radio Pakistan, the President and Prime Minister emphasized that the government is actively working on the development of a comprehensive national cancer prevention strategy. This strategy aims to improve the country’s collective capacity to address the disease effectively.
