President Zardari and Prime Minister Sharif Reaffirm Commitment to Democracy on International Day

Islamabad: On the occasion of International Day of Democracy, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have articulated a strong reaffirmation of their commitment to constitutionalism, the rule of law, and the strengthening of democratic values in Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, both leaders emphasized the critical role of robust democratic institutions and the need for substantial reforms to fortify democracy within the country. President Zardari specifically highlighted the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance public administration’s transparency, accountability, and efficiency, suggesting that AI-driven insights could make democratic processes more accessible to the electorate.

Prime Minister Sharif, in his message, underscored the foundational significance of democracy and human rights as essential to societal progress, calling on citizens to bolster efforts towards creating a more inclusive and equitable future.
