President Zardari Congratulates Singapore on 61st National Day

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended felicitations to President of Singapore, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, as well as the government and people of Singapore, on the occasion of their 61st National Day.

According to Radio Pakistan, in his congratulatory letter, President Zardari expressed Pakistan’s admiration for Singapore’s journey of nation-building and economic transformation. He remarked that Singapore’s achievements serve as an inspiring example of resilience, innovation, and progress.

The President underscored the significance of this year, marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Singapore. He highlighted that over the past six decades, the friendship between the two nations has strengthened, supported by mutual trust, goodwill, and robust people-to-people ties.

President Zardari pointed out the vast potential for further collaboration in areas such as the digital economy, green technology, maritime and logistics connectivity, urban planning, vocational training, academic and cultural exchanges, and tourism. He affirmed Pakistan’s willingness to work closely with Singapore to enhance cooperation in these fields for the mutual benefit of both countries and their citizens.
