Prime minister appoints Dr Saadia Sarwar as focal person/in charge of polio cell

Islamabad, June 03, 2013 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Justice (R) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso has appointed Dr. Saadia Sarwar, presently working at Prime Minister’s Secretariat, as focal person/ in charge of Prime Minister’s Monitoring Cell on Polio at Prime Minister’s Secretariat.

The decision is in continuation of yesterday’s decision of the Prime Minister to restore the Prime Minister’s Monitoring Cell on Polio at Prime Minister’s Secretariat.

The Prime Minister has also issued directions that the Cell should start functioning forthwith and expressed the hope that honest and dedicated persons would be co-opted to achieve the goal of complete eradication of Polio from the country.

Reiterating his government’s resolve to eradicate polio from Pakistan, the Prime Minister expressed the hope that the Cell would play an important role in achieving this national objective.
