Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and UAE President Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations

RAHIMYAR KHAN: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, at Rahim Yar Khan to discuss strengthening bilateral ties. The meeting focused on economic, political, and cultural collaborations with an emphasis on regional stability, climate change, and mutual global interests.

According to Press Information Department, the discussion involved key figures including Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief Minister of Punjab Ms. Maryam Nawaz, Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi. Prime Minister Sharif commended the UAE’s leadership as a crucial partner in development and investment, expressing Pakistan’s eagerness to enhance cooperation in renewable energy, technology, trade, infrastructure, and skill development.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed interest in collaborating with Pakistan in mining, minerals, and agriculture, appreciating Pakistan’s economic stabilization and growth. He emphasized the potential for increased bilateral investment and partnership, highlighting the importance of people-to-people connections. Sharif expressed gratitude for the UAE’s support, particularly in humanitarian aid, and both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to regional peace and progress. The meeting concluded with a pledge to deepen cooperation in priority sectors, aiming for a brighter future for both nations.
