Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Hosts SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming in Islamabad

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming today, in connection with the SCO Council of Heads of Government meeting. The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the Secretary-General’s visit and the support provided by the SCO Secretariat for the meeting’s organization.

According to Press Information Department, Prime Minister Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to the SCO Charter and assured Mr. Ming of Pakistan’s continued commitment to furthering the organization’s development goals, benefiting all member states and the region at large. He highlighted Pakistan’s readiness to collaborate with other SCO members to enhance the organization’s effectiveness and strength. The Prime Minister also acknowledged Mr. Ming’s contributions during his tenure as Secretary-General, wishing him success in future endeavors. In return, Mr. Ming commended Pakistan’s role in the successful organization of the SCO meeting and praised its constructive contributions to the organization across various domains.
