Prime Minister’s Vision in Action: Training for Customs Prosecutors Concludes in Karachi

Karachi: A three-day training program designed to bolster the expertise of Customs prosecutors, directed by the Prime Minister and executed by the Ministry of Law and Justice in partnership with the Federal Board of Revenue, wrapped up in Karachi. This session marked the conclusion of a series of training events, the first of which were held in Islamabad and Lahore, addressing participants from various regions including KP and GB.

According to a statement by Press Information Department, the training aimed to enhance legal practices in customs enforcement by covering a range of significant topics. Among these were trade-based money laundering, which provided participants with crucial insights into the overlap between financial crimes and customs activities.

The event was graced by Muhammad Sadiq, Director General Valuation and Chief Collector Exports, Karachi, who served as the Chief Guest. He lauded the Ministry of Law and Justice for its commitment to the legal community across the nation and its efforts in building the capacity of customs prosecutors and investigators. He also recognized the Federal Minister for Law and Justice’s dedication to excellence in legal practice and suggested organizing similar programs in the future to further develop the skills of legal professionals nationwide.
