Proclaimed Offender involved in double murder arrested

Islamabad: Islamabad Police on Wednesday arrested a proclaimed offender involved in committing double murder in the area of Nilore and later dumping the bodies in the area of Swan river, a police spokesman said.

On a tip off about the hide out of proclaimed offender Iftikhar Hussain alias Kharo s/o Mushtaq Hussain, Station House Officer of Nilore police station Tanveer Abbasi under his own supervision constituted a special team including Sub Inspector Muhammad Akbar and other policemen. The team raided at the informed place and succeeded to arrest the proclaimed offender wanted to police in two murder cases.

He killed Zulfiqar Ali and Qamar Iqbal in August 2010 due to enmity with them and later escaped. Police had been hunting him for the last one year and at last succeeded to arrest this notorious criminal as well as recovered 30 bore pistol from him.

Meanwhile, Koral police arrested an accused Muhammad Aslam resident of Tobetek Singh who snatched a vehicle (RIR©5363 Toyota Hiace) from Sarfaraz Khan after intoxicating him.

Assistant Sub-Inspectors Iqbal and Azeem from Shalimar police arrested a woman Nur Bibi and recovered stolen items including three mobiles and Rs. 5,000 from her which she stole from the house of Sadia Khalil resident of sector F©7/3. A thief Tarseem was also arrested by them in possession of stolen mobile phone.

Sihala police also arrested a person Muhammad Ifran and recovered 30 bore pistol from his possession.

IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan have appreciated this performance and announced special prizes for team who arrested proclaimed offender and fraudster. They have directed all police officials to intensify vigilance against antisocial elements.
