Muzaffarabad, May 22, 2023 (PPI-OT): Massive protest demonstrations were held and rallies taken out in Azad Jammu and Kashmir including its capital Muzaffarabad against the G20 meeting, hosted by the Modi-led Indian government in internationally disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Call for the protest rallies and demonstrations were jointly given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and AJK political leadership.
On such big rally was organized by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir in Muzaffarabad which was attended by a large number of citizens including women and children. Black flags were hoisted by the participants amid strong anti-India sloganeering. The protest was led by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Chairman Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, and was attended by Usman Ali Hashim, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Khalid Shabbir, Dr Monzoor, Shaukat Javed Mir, Mehnaz Qureshi, Raja Mehtab Advocate and others.
The protesters were chanting “Boycott Boycott G20 Boycott”, “India! Leave Occupied Jammu and Kashmir” and other Anti India slogans. While addressing the protesters, Uzair Ahmed Ghazali said that India wants to mislead the world about the rightful freedom struggle of Kashmiris by holding the G20 meeting in Srinagar. Another protest rally was taken out by Pir Punjal Freedom Movement in Kotli Azad Jammu and Kashmir. It was led by Hurriyat leader Qazi Imran and attended by Haji Arif, Sardar Sarfraz and Aftab Arif.
