Quetta: Provincial Minister Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran has defended the proposed 26th constitutional amendment, urging that it should not be made a contentious issue. Speaking on the matter, he noted that 25 amendments have already been made, emphasizing that amendments are a necessary part of governance to address evolving circumstances.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Khetran stated that while the Holy Quran remains unchangeable, constitutions must be adaptable to the times. He also emphasized the government’s commitment to restoring the rule of law in light of recent attacks on unskilled laborers, warning that those who disrupt peace will be dealt with strictly.
