Karachi,The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSE) released its market report for October 19, 2023, detailing the main board data over the past six months.
In April, the listed capital stood at Rs. 1,556,341.386 million, with a market capitalization of Rs. 6,289,898.751 million. Shares turnover was recorded at 2,330.895 million with 1,000.229 million in future contracts. The KSE 100 Index was 41,580.850, and the KSE All Share Index was 27,428.440.
May saw a slight decrease in market capitalization to Rs. 6,277,073.657 million, while the turnover of shares increased to 4,032.902 million. Future contracts also witnessed a surge, standing at 1,546.588 million. The KSE 100 Index for May was slightly lower at 41,330.560, but the KSE All Share Index rose to 27,703.240.
The month of June reported a listed capital of Rs. 1,627,167.444 million. Market capitalization increased to Rs. 6,369,472.636 million. Turnover of shares and future contracts was 3,902.820 million and 1,565.686 million, respectively. The KSE 100 Index and the KSE All Share Index for June were 41,452.690 and 28,111.030, respectively.
July witnessed a significant jump in the market capitalization, reaching Rs. 7,231,764.255 million. The turnover of shares reached a six-month high of 7,984.831 million, with future contracts at 2,501.287 million. The KSE 100 Index rose significantly to 48,034.600, and the KSE All Share Index reached 32,027.290.
August showed a decline in the market capitalization to Rs. 6,715,880.490 million. The turnover of shares was 6,814.516 million with future contracts at 2,511.124 million. The indices for August were 45,002.420 for the KSE 100 and 30,041.970 for the KSE All Share.
For September, the market capitalization increased slightly to Rs. 6,885,570.255 million. The turnover of shares was 3,447.734 million and future contracts stood at 1,621.924 million. The KSE 100 Index for September was 46,232.590, and the KSE All Share Index was 31,158.710.
